Empire State Building
We wanted to do this right – to design a sustainability retrofit that would not only make our building more energy efficient, but one that could serve as a template for other buildings worldwide. We wanted to make the case that energy efficiency is not a sacrifice; it's smart business. We partnered with a number of global leaders, forming a team that is committed not just to this project, but to creating a more sustainable model for energy consumption around the world. We look forward to seeing that team's success continue to impact our global community.
The Empire State Building Company LLC, under the direction of Malkin Holdings, and in partnership with the Clinton Climate Initiative, Johnson Controls, Jones Lang LaSalle and the Rocky Mountain Institute, informs energy and economic policy with proven practice, blazing a trail for building owners, cities, states, and governments around the world to become more energy efficient.
